Join us for an Afrofuturism Dream Tank at the University Club, that walks us creatively through the past and present with an eye toward the future using meditation, virtual reality, poetry, and art culminating with a Dream Tank Dinner* and Discourse at Sunset. Please note: Afrofuturism is inclusive futurism and all who share in the desire for an inclusive and equitable future are welcome.

This is the 1st fundraiser for Grio'neers, a new 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on engineering a better future through storytelling and action. Come prepared to set and possibly share intentions for the coming year. Prior to the adoption of the Gregorian calendar, many cultures considered the first day of Spring the beginning of the New Year.

Afrofuturism Dream Tank is a framework for strategic planning created and first facilitated in San Diego, CA by Dr. LaWana Richmond in 2018. Projects to be supported by this organization include Afrofuturism Lounge and Afro Con (the Afrofuturism Consciousness Convention).
