Access Youth Academy is a continuous youth enrichment program founded in 2006, serving low-income San Diego youth. The Access 12-year promise is divided into three phases that align with each student's individual needs as they progress toward academic and career success. Phase 1 - 7th grade through high school graduation. Phase 2 - Four years of college support. Phase 3 - Two years of post-college support. Our 12-year commitment enhances Access's program goals, which are reflected in our four pillars of excellence: academic achievement, health and wellness, leadership, and social responsibility. Through their quest to excel at the sport of squash, students learn discipline, teamwork, resilience, how to win, and how to lose with grace and renewed determination. Participation in squash, combined with our other key program components and the necessary resources, clears the way for Access youth to become successful, contributing members of society.
