SUMMARY:8 Strategies to Mitigate Implicit Bias
DESCRIPTION:You're Invited: "8 Strategies to Mitigate Implicit Bias"\n\n\n\nEveryone holds implicit biases. That doesn't make us "bad people\," it just means we have work to do. On Thursday\, May 5 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.\, you'll have the opportunity to begin this meaningful work at our AAPI Strong CA virtual event\, "8 Strategies to Mitigate Implicit Bias."\n\n\n\nThis interactive training will teach you how to understand your own implicit biases in order to begin to undo them. We'll start by learning the brain science behind implicit bias and how the part of our brain that is hardwired to assess danger has evolved to hold us back. You'll leave with more confidence in your ability to successfully see and undo implicit bias in your own life.\n\n\n\nFor questions\, please contact Elizabeth Merced at emerced@calasiancc.org. Learn more about AAPI Strong CA at calasiancc.org/aapi-strong-ca. \n\n\n\nThis event is part of our AAPI Strong CA program which connects employers\, organizations\, and individuals with resources to combat AAPI discrimination and find meaningful solutions.
